Oh wow, thank you for articulating this phenomena so well! I too have been sad and concerned with how, for example, ADHD has become some sort of trend on TikTok and therefore everyone makes fun of it. Like helloooo, people are relating to a LIFE ALTERING MENTAL CONDITION, maybe we should listen to their struggle?? Even if they don't have ADHD, they are still clearly going through something. And like you said at the end, people wouldn't have to search for words and diagnoses to label themselves with if we'd just listen to eachother's pain and struggles in the first place.
